Helping survivors move on with their lives.

The Maggie Oliver Foundation (TMOF) exists to create a society where survivors and those at risk of childhood sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) are empowered to live fulfilled and successful lives, and where every survivor is treated with dignity, respect and as an equal and valued member of society.
We can only provide emotional support and legal advocacy to those who are based in United Kingdom.

About the foundation

We want to help adult survivors and their loved ones to transform the pain of their abuse into power, by being supported to identify their strengths, adopt constructive coping strategies, increase self-confidence, and create and embrace positive life chances.
Without support, survivors and their loved ones are often isolated and alone, with no knowledge of where to turn for the help and advice they need to begin rebuilding their shattered lives. TMOF provides a safe place for survivors to be heard, and to use their experiences to campaign for a criminal justice system that is fit for purpose in achieving the justice they deserve.
We work alongside adult survivors of CSAE in a variety of ways including through our listening ear Pain into Power phoneline, advocating for them through any legal process, referring to other services and through trauma-focused group therapy.

  • The Baird Inquiry reveals BARBARIC treatment of vulnerable individuals by Greater Manchester Police

In the summer of 2023, The Maggie Oliver Foundation (TMOF) spotted a concerning pattern of the arrest, detainment and inhumane treatment in custody by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) of several survivors of sexual violence who it had been supporting for a number of years.  All of these women had reported sexual offences and complained about GMP’s investigation of these crimes prior to their arrests.  It appeared to us that these were being used as tools by the police to intimidate vulnerable victims who dared to speak out about their poor experiences of the force.
