The Augusta Review
After years of fighting from the Foundation, an independent assurance review of Operation Augusta was undertaken in 2020, to examine the effectiveness of multi-agency responses to child sexual exploitation in Greater Manchester. This review concluded wide-scale failures by all services, including the Greater Manchester Police, in both investigating and protecting children who were being knowingly abused.
