We are currently experiencing high volumes of demand for our services. It might take us a little longer to come back to you but we aim to respond within three weeks. If you are looking for support regarding your experiences in police custody following publication of the Baird Inquiry findings please find more information here.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us to help survivors turn their “Pain into Power”. We call our volunteers Ambassadors because they are passionate representatives of our Foundation and all survivors of sexual abuse or exploitation. We know that building trusting relationships can be a big help in recovery from trauma so by volunteering with us, you have the chance to make a real difference in survivors’ lives.
We welcome applications from a wide range of applicants.
You don’t need previous experience or qualifications, you just need to be non-judgemental, accepting and reliable.
In order to safeguard our Ambassadors and survivors, phoneline applicants will undergo a criminal record check. If you have a criminal record, this is not necessarily a barrier to volunteering with us. Your case will be considered on an individual basis.
We have zero tolerance for anyone who tries to take advantage of the vulnerable people who contact us.
Provide regular updates and the latest news about the Foundation and its work.
If, after the interview, we feel like you’ll be a good fit, we’ll request DBS, social media and character reference checks.
