Andrew Wrights Fundraising
I support The Maggie Oliver Foundation because I first heard of the sexual assault cases in the north of England, because of the reports from Maggie Oliver. I cared but felt helpless to do anything.
When The Maggie Oliver Foundation was started and needed funds, I thought the best way to show I care was to fundraise for the foundation. I was planning to cycle from sea to sea Whitehaven across to Newcastle 140 miles approx.
Unfortunately, because of coronavirus restrictions, I did the same distance in my back garden on a turbo trainer programme. Everyone was so generous and I managed to raise £1121.00.
It was the first time I have ever fundraised, it was really hard but so rewarding to complete. I`ve already started asking myself what can I do next?
