Truth

Yesterday I was weak ,
Yesterday I let them speak,
They said such nasty things to me,
They said my truths couldn’t be,
But in my mind & I’m my heart ,
For my memories tear me apart,
I know what happened ,
I was there,
How can I not care ?

For their opinions are so wrong ,
Their morals outdated,
So I must stay strong ,
I don’t need to feel deflated .

Because the truth I hold today is being underrated.
