A song that I was inspired to write, following my learning

I first saw the stories of the ‘grooming gangs’ in the newspapers, on TV and social media and wondered why (it appeared) that nothing was being done about it. Where were the council, social services and more to the point where we’re the police?

I then read about Maggie Oliver and the way she was treated by GMP.

I’ll never know the trauma and fear these girls went through, but I got more than a glimpse after watching the film 3 Girls which was both haunting and harrowing to say the least.

I am an amateur singer song writer and decided to write a song regarding what I had learned.
